Members or Citizens?

Awakening Light International Church opened our doors for “membership” in December 2009. This was after we had been open for three months. If you were to go to our Website and click on Citizenship you will read something I wrote over a year ago as it related to membership. That something said, give us six months. Actually give yourself six months to resonate with the teaching before making any commitment to “join.” This would be considered strange to most churches that are always in a membership drive of some kind. And to tell you the truth I had people from the first month asking me when was I going to “open the doors of the church” to membership. I kept putting it off saying, you just come and get the teaching first. It wasn’t until recently that I understood FULLY why?

When the God of my inner being started dealing with me AGAIN a few months ago about THE KINGDOM, It begin to share with me the concept of doing away with the concept of “membership.” Why? Because from day one our public prayer was God, Yahweh, Spirit, Divine Mind what is YOUR IDEA of Awakening Light International? That was my sincere prayer towards the Lord. (LAW) What is interesting is how the revelation did not come immediately but in a space of time, for the LAW was working it out in my own consciousness and the consciousness I believe of the people. It was a few months ago that God showed me, “MY IDEA IS A KINGDOM IDEA! Your idea Israel is a MEMBER idea.” And The Lord was right because I was doing and even shifting ideas in order to appeal to people…a likely thought. Even more so coming to the East Coast (and this is not a bad thing) I found myself shifting to appease and appeal to a more conservative, highly religious minded group and was not truly happy with the results.

In a Kingdom Concept there are no members only citizens. Members join a thing; they JOIN IN, citizens are BORN IN. The Lord spoke to me and said “MY IDEA IS THAT YOU GIVE BIRTH TO A NEW THING AND ALLOW IT TO SPRING UP!” Isa 43:18-19 "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth;

God and the laws of consciousness only responds to a KINGDOM CONCEPT, for they are not voted on, they just ARE and are to be accepted as THE LAWS OF CONSCIOUSNESS! 2+2 will always equal 4. It’s a divine law! You can never vote to change what is!

I asked the Lord what I shall name this church. In 2006 it gave me THE name; Awakening Light. We awakened people to the Kingdom within. That is what an AWAKENIST is; one who has been awakened to the Kingdom of God within!

We are New Thought and yet we are NOT Unity, Divine Science, or Church of Religious Science. My issue was, being so positively influence by all three I wanted to be just that. But The Lord showed me that this thing we are giving birth to is not an doing away with that which is traditionally New Thought but the fulfillment of the true culture of consciousness. God’s Idea of itself as Awakening Light International is to extend a fuller understanding of a KINGDOM CONCEPT OF CONSCIOUSNESS and to give birth to citizens of this higher concept of truth which will truly bring peace upon the planet. Yes you heard me right. “Can WE REV. ISRAEL be the conduit between man and peace? “ YES! When we teach and give birth to citizens of the KINGDOM of God, Christ (God’s perfect idea of itself in man) then we can and will create true change and peace in our world!

Jesus said “you must be born again.” We teach that being born again is the birth of higher consciousness in you. That birth represents also the birthing into this movement, Awakening Light International, which many of you, (until you came under this umbrella of truth), entered into this family not knowing what know now! I remember hearing as a child, the expression, “as a member of this family, etc, etc” The truth is you are not a “member” of your family. You can’t be voted out of your family! You are a citizen of your family. You belong there by LAW. You were birthed into that family or IDEA.

My prayer was “GOD WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF AWAKENING LIGHT INTERNATIONAL CHURCH? The answer; that it becomes THE KINGDOM OF GOD operated by KINGDOM CONCEPTS AND PRINCIPLES A place where all can come and experience the birth of higher consciousness making them citizens of this remarkable kingdom called Awakening Light International Church.

The Culture of the Kingdom.

Let’s first define Culture?

“People with shared beliefs and practices: a group of people whose shared beliefs and practices identify the particular place, class, or time to which they belong.”

Your way of being and manifesting and creating should immediately identify you as one who has been AWAKENED! When you see the Amish (which I’m surrounded by here in Pennsylvania) you know them by their culture! When you see Mormons, you immediately identify them by their culture.

For those of us who have made Jesus Christ (The Divine expression and the Divine Idea) our Lord, (Owner & Law) and for those who have experienced a NEW BIRTH of consciousness by way of Awakening Light International;

Ephesians 2:19-22 Thus from henceforth, you are neither strangers nor foreigners but fellow- citizens with the saints and children of the household of God; and you are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ (The Divine Idea and the Divine expression) being a cornerstone of the building. And through the divine idea and the divine expression the whole building (that would be you) is fashioned and grows into a holy temple thought the help of the Lord (LAW)

You are Kings, Queens and Priests, citizens which have been translated from the kingdom of darkness, into the kingdom of God’s dear Son, The Christ. (God’s perfect idea of itself in you)

So the culture of the kingdom transcends the culture of our country, our city, and each of our denominations. What do I mean by the culture of the kingdom? The culture of the kingdom is based upon TRUTH; the truth of God consciousness instead of the error of the human RACE CONSCIOUSNESS.

What is the Culture of the Kingdom of Awakening Light International Church? Well we will continue in our study next week! But let me say that we saw one of the aspects of our Culture on Sunday. When I had you embrace one of our people who had because of personal discouragement and pain had been gone from us for awhile. In OUR CULTURE we surround our wounded with love and restore them back to their glory. (Their full expression of who they are) We love deeply are own we never allow a wounded citizen to die…in consciousness or spirit.
