How does Prayer work…really?

You would think that at this stage of our human evolution we might have some evolved ideas when it comes to spirituality, but sadly many are still operating in, what is mostly gross superstition and God ignorance.

In many primitive cultures when they could not explain that which appeared to be working against nature or causing adverse circumstances in their lives, they would refer to it as a devil; The more personal “devil.” We recognize when the Bible speaks of Satan or a devil it is NOT speaking of an underground creature or even a spirit. It is always speaking of that part of MIND or consciousness (ego) that wishes to give up the light for the darkness. It is the negative energies within our own mind which tries to force us to have experience without knowledge…EVE!

That is what that whole temptation thing was about. Anyway this is NOT a lesson on that.

My point is even when it comes to prayer we are still holding on to some antiquated ideas. In our world, prayer is largely seen to be something you practice to influence a supreme deity. Prayer is what you do when you are in trouble and you just kind of hope that there is someone “up there” that will hear you and grant you your wish. Prayer is seen as “bombarding heaven” until God just gets tired and goes ahead and gives you what you want. Where I grew up prayer hinged more on the side of begging. “Oh Lord please Sir Jesus.” Actually when you think about it was pretty pathetic, because it seemed to place God in this category of stern, neurotic judge that you had to placate with nice words, praises and petitions, night and day in order for Him to do anything for you.

This is the product of a mind that has not been awakened to the truth about God or how spiritual things really work. All of what I have spoken is not a put down, just an observation, because I know that people CAN ONLY EXPRESS FROM THEIR LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING. That is sad for so many because many don’t know much. That it is why it is important for us to make spirituality a life long lesson. As we evolve, our understanding about God is always pushing to evolve too. I could teach from that point for another twenty pages…but I won’t.

Lets’ jump right in. How does prayer work? Prayer has NOTHING to do with God! (Take a breath, I know) Prayer has everything to do with you! Prayer works because of your BELIEF in prayer. It works because of your understanding and awareness of the Creative Law of Mind and Spirit that we are all surrounded by.

Jesus said, “Whatsoever things you desire when you pray BELIEVE that you have received them and YOU SHALL HAVE THEM! This is PRAYER! I did not say it? The master teacher Jesus said it. When you pray believe. What do I believe in? Well what did he say? He said believe that you receive that which you desire. Period! But in order to believe you must first know what you are working with when you pray, right?

Jesus knew very well, of that which WE call Divine Law. Divine Law resides in the Kingdom of God. Now where again did Jesus say the Kingdom of God was? He said it is within you! Divine law is that thing, that realm that zero point field, if you will, where consciousness has the greatest authority to create whatever it can believe! Prayer works when you, with a mind set on something begin to go within and tap into this power of consciousness that you have to believe for a thing, knowing that you have the ability to decree it or declare it and it will be established in your life world and affairs. (Job 22:28)

It is not up to God whether or not your prayer is answered. It has nothing to do with God and everything to do with what YOU believe. “According to YOUR faith be it unto you!" (Matthew 9:29)

The truth of the matter is we all answer our own prayers based on how we are working with the laws of consciousness.

The reason so many have such a difficulty with this truth concept is because all of their lives they have been taught that they were powerless and that God was ALL powerful. The truth is God IN YOU is all powerful. You have power! YOU ARE POWER! Prayer works when you begin to affirm THAT to yourself night and day in the midst of all of the appearances and illusions of the ego conscious mind, which operates according to the five senses, and hold FAST to your confession of affirmation of FAITH. (HEBREWS 10:23)

Prayer works when you, realize your Oneness with God, and in Mind, you begin to “let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Heaven is NOT a geographical place. Heaven is that higher state of God Consciousness within. So when we go within to that higher state of mind; that higher state of spirituality and believe that the thing which we bring into this higher state of being will manifest in our life, we are saying; As it is In heaven (that deep inner place of spirit, that high state of God Mind within; whatever I believe and decree in MY MIND) let it be DONE on earth!

IT’S DONE.
